Inheriting a family business, begun in 1923, Scott cut his teeth consulting multinational companies' risk management needs. After obtaining a Masters degree in Hospitality Management from Cornell University, he began a successful career as a hotel program administrator for QBE and Zurich. In addition to underwriting expertise, this required an in-depth knowledge of construction and legal liabilities. Now, specializing in contractors, and having obtained his Construction Risk Insurance Specialist designation, Scott helps brokers place their contractor client’s insurance through a specialty program underwritten by RLI.
